Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle in Downtown Kenton Crosswalk

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in downtown Kenton at around 4:15 Wednesday afternoon.

According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, 71 year old Ricky Cannode, of Kenton, was walking across Main Street when he was struck by a vehicle being operated by 29 year old Halie Osborne, of Mt. Victory, who was turning left from Franklin Street onto Main.

Cannode was transported to St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima with suspected serious injuries.

Osborne was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian.
