Rain in the evening held down attendance for day 3 of the Hardin County Fair.
The paid gate Thursday was 967, compared to 1078 in 2017.
Total estimated attendance yesterday was 5415, which was down from last year’s 6037.
244 people took in afternoon harness racing, which was up from 178 in 2017. As the rain set in by evening, 378 attended harness racing, compared to 469 last year.
Today is Senior Citizens Day with free admittance for those over 60 with Golden Buckeye Card or proof of birth.
The highlight in the grandstand tonight is the Hardin County Truck and Tractor Pull starting at 7. General admission for the event is $6 with 5 under free. Reserved seats are $8 and pit passes are $10.
The fair runs through this Sunday at the fairgrounds in Kenton.
