September 23, 2021 Regular Board Meeting Highlights

The following new staff members were introduced to the Board:
Amanda Atole – Intervention Specialist
Robert Ball – Transportation Supervisor
Cassie Thomas – 4-12 Band and Choir Teacher

The track at our athletic facility in Ridgeway is 20 years old and was built during the 2001-2002 school year. It was resurfaced once during that time in 2014 and is in need of repair. To better help understand the needs of this project, The Kleingers Group will be providing a scope of services that includes a topographic survey, track evaluation with pavement cores, and a track evaluation that includes surface, cross-slope, and recommendations. Information gained from this survey will help us to determine whether we need to replace the track base and surface or just the surface.

We applied for and received a School Safety and Security Grant through the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation. This grant will aid in helping us purchase new security equipment for the Ridgeway building and Go-Kit and Bleed Control backpacks. These emergency filled supply kits will go in each classroom to support classroom preparedness incase of an emergency.

Thank you to everyone as we make the change to our new mode of communication, ParentSquare. We now have the system setup to make contact with individual bus routes and communication with athletics will begin during the winter season. If you have questions please reach out to Tom Mustain.

Congratulations to Nurse Amy Bahr as she has been selected for inclusion in the forthcoming Trademark Women of Distinction 2021 Honors Edition for demonstrating dedication, leadership and professional excellence.
