It was a battle of top ranked teams in the Northwest Central Conference on Thursday night as Ridgemont Lady Gophers traveled to Waynesfield to
take on the Tigers.
Ridgemont entered the game as co leaders in the NWCC at 5-1 with Riverside and Waynesfield was in second place at 4-2.
The Ridgemont Gophers outscored the Waynesfield in the 4th quarter 19-12 to notch a NWCC Championship by winning 53-39.
Ridgemont improves to 9-8 on the season and 6-1 in the league.
The Gophers had 4 players in double figures.
Callie Cromer had 10 points, Amanda Holland had 11, Brook Nelson had 13 and Hannah Shoffner had 14.
Waynesfield falls to 4-3 in the league and 7-12 overall.
They were led in scoring by Rylie Barrington who had 10 points.
Ridgemont Lady Gophers return to action on Saturday afternoon as they play the Riverdale Lady Falcons.
