(UPDATE-Afternoon Classes Cancelled) Riverdale School Evacuated Due to Small Fire

Afternoon classes have been cancelled at Riverdale school due to smoke still in the K-12 school building.

A small fire in the home economics room at the Riverdale schools forced the evacuation of the building today.

All students are safe and accounted for and were taken to the old school.

The fire was quickly extinguished, but the school released a statement on its Facebook page at just before noon stating that afternoon classes have been cancelled at the school due to smoke still in the K-12 school building.
