Riverdale Student Featured as Speaker at Military Signing Day Ceremony in Columbus

A Riverdale student was featured as a speaker on Tuesday at the Military Signing Day ceremony.

Pfc. Ethan Stapleton, who is a senior at Riverdale High School, enlisted in the Ohio Army National Guard in his junior year and attended basic training during the summer before the start of his senior year.

He has had the unique opportunity to be a soldier while attending high school.

Military Signing Day was held at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum in Columbus.

High school students from across Ohio were recognized for their commitment to serve in the U.S. armed forces during the event.
