The Kenton Lady Wildcats entertained the Sandusky Perkins Pirates in the Ashland Sectionals last night at Kenton High School.
The Lady Wildcats saw their tourney run come up short as the Pirates of Perkins won the game 52-30.
The Lady Wildcats were led in scoring by 5 seniors.
Kaylin Hildreth, Lindsey Smith and Laney Harpel had 8 points each, and Makenzie Bays and Kelee Barrett added 3 points each.
Lexi Wetherill and Mary Heilman did not score but added good solid play throughout the game.
Senior Jenna Manns was not able to play in the game due to an injury at Ottawa Glandorf.
The Cats only went to the line 8 times in the game while Perkins made 21 out of 27 free throws to notch their tourney victory.
The Cats return to action on Thursday night as they travel to Shawnee for a WBL league game.
Congratulations to all 8 seniors that contributed throughout their four years of dedicated play to the Kenton Lady Wildcat basketball program.
