The Village of Forest has an opening for a Village Council seat.

This is an appointed position that will fill the unexpired term of Danielle Smith, who is moving from the Village.

The appointed person will hold that office until the next general election, where the unexpired term will be placed on the ballot.

There is also a vacant seat on the Recreation Board, due to the resignation of John Parthemore.

This is an appointed position by the mayor, in consultation with the Forest Park Board and with Council Approval.

In addition, positions remain on the Forest Zoning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals.

Interested individuals must be a resident of the Village of Forest for a minimum of one year and be 18 years of age or older.

Applicants should email a letter of interest to Mayor Dean Hankins: mayor@villageofforest.com or by mailing it to 211 West Lima Street in the village.
