Village of Forest officials provided an update about the AirVac sewer system.

They stated that the B-Line continues to be problematic, but by using a camera, they located a 4-foot section of defective pipe, which is likely the source of the vacuum leak that causes B-Line to fail.

The plan is to excavate the bad section and permanently fix it, which will take a couple days to complete.

The affected area is Patterson Street west to Mad River and the cross streets.

The village crew will manually fire each of those affected pits several times during the day, and that should minimize the chances of back ups.

Residents in the affected area are being asked to minimize what goes down their drains.

Officials also announced today that they will be holding a special Council Meeting this Thursday, March 27 at 7pm.

The meeting will be held at the All Weather Pavilion.

The focus of the meeting will be to discuss issues and updates with the AirVac and sewer systems.
