Social Security Scams on the Increase in Wyandot County
The Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office said they have received several calls this week in reference to the Social Security Scam.
They advised citizens to be vigilant and do not give any personal information to the subjects who are attempting to scam you.
Some of the callers can be very aggressive and may resort to scare tactics.
The Sheriff’s Office release said you should hang up on the call and call their office for further guidance.
The scam like to target the elderly, and the Sheriff’s Office said it is a good idea to share this information with them.
