Hardin County Business and Professional Women’s Club is accepting socks and/or slippers for Christmas.

The items will be donated to needy youth in the county.

Kenton’s HSLC is collecting the socks and slippers at the Santa Train located just inside the front door of the business.

The donations will be collected from the Santa Train on Tuesday, December 14, and delivered to Helping Hands.

Members from Hardin County Retired Teachers, Kenton-Hardin County Soroptimist and Hardin/Wyandot Counties’ Kappa Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma have pitched in to give some help.

The public is also invited to provide donations.

Director of Helping Hands Deanna Wages has stated that a simple thing like new socks or slippers can give a child a positive feeling.
