Statewide Developmental Disabilities Council Accepting Applications for New Members

The Ohio Developmental Disabilities Council is accepting applications for new members until May 28, 2021.

The Council is recruiting for:

Individuals with disabilities; Parent or guardians of a child with a developmental disability; or an Immediate relative or guardian of an institutionalized or previously institutionalized individual with a developmental disability; or an individual with a developmental disability who resides or previously resided in an institution.

Ohio DD Council consists of at least 30 Governor-appointed members that include people with developmental disabilities, parents and guardians of people with developmental disabilities, representatives from concerned state agencies, and nonprofit organizations and local agencies providing services to people with developmental disabilities.

It’s is to create change that improves independence, productivity and inclusion for people with developmental disabilities and their families in community life.

Deadline to apply is May 28, 2021.
