The Kenton Fire Department participated in the Statewide Tornado Drill on Wednesday.

The tornado siren was activated at 9:50 yesterday morning as a reminder to have a safety plan in place for your family in the event of severe weather.

The drill was conducted around Ohio as part of Spring Weather Awareness Week, which runs through this Saturday.

Ohio's peak tornado season is from April through July, but they can and have occurred in every month of the year.
