Street Closures Announced for Weekend Kenton Events
Events happening tonight at Saturday will impact traffic in downtown Kenton.
Tonight, the American Cancer Society Relay for Life is taking place with the opening ceremony scheduled at 6.
Columbus Street, between Main and Detroit, will be closed today in preparation for the event.
On Saturday night, the Eats on the Streets festival will take place from 4pm until 11pm.
Columbus street between Main and Detroit will close on Saturday at 12 noon.
Then at two o’clock, Columbus street will close down to Wayne Street. Additionally, Main street between Franklin and Carrol will close.
Event officials ask that motorists keep the road closures in mind when parking in the affected areas on Saturday.
The Kenton Fire Department will be at both events. At Eats on the Streets, they will set up cooling chairs, belonging to Dunkirk EMS, for anyone that needs to escape the heat Saturday evening.
