Kenton City School Board member, and current board president Sheena Striker announced Wednesday that she will not run for another term.

She announced that decision on her Facebook page after much prayer and consideration.

She thanked everyone who signed her petition and for their support.

Striker stated that the last four years on the board have been an amazing experience.

She noted that she will still continue to be involved in the district as much as the sitting board and Superintendent Chad Thrush allows.

Striker also stated that she will continue to work with the district in building a 7-12 grade building.

Striker concluded that she still has five more months of her term and plans to work hard for the district.
