Hardin County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested the suspect wanted in connection to a motor vehicle theft and pursuit that occurred early Sunday morning.
According to a press release from the Hardin County Sheriff’s office, at approximately 6:30 pm Sunday evening deputies arrested a 17-year-old male who allegedly stole the vehicle from a residence near Mt. Victory. Deputies responding to the stolen vehicle report shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday, encountered the vehicle as it entered into Logan Co. The driver failed to stop and a pursuit ensued, ending with the vehicle crashing into a drainage ditch in a field on the northside of Co. Rd. 40. The driver fled on foot and was not able to be located at the time.
Information was developed throughout the day on Sunday that led to the arrest. The suspect was taken into custody without incident, in the Logan County Community of Big Springs. Charges are pending in the case.
The Hardin County deputies were assisted by deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
