Three Houses Involved in Early Sunday Morning Fire

One house was destroyed and two others were damaged by a fire this (Sunday) morning in the 400 block of West Columbus Street.

According to information from the Kenton Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched at just before 5:30 Sunday morning to 438 West Columbus.

The two story house was fully involved in flames and the two other houses were involved.

Heavy occurred to the a house at 432 and external damaged occurred to the house at 440 West Columbus.

The owner and occupant of 438 is Ron Hines.

Everyone in all homes made it out safely and there were no injuries.

The cause has not yet been determined, and the fire remains under investigation.

Mutual assistance was provided by fire departments from South East Hardin Northwest Union, Richland Township, Northern Hardin County, Forest, McGuffey and Ridgeway.

Also assisting at the scene were Blanchard-Dunkirk Washington EMS, BKP Ambulance District, Kenton Police Department and Hardin County Sheriff’s Office.

Firefighters were on the scene for around six hours.
