Tiffin Man Arrested After Wyandot County Crash Sunday

An accident in Wyandot County over the weekend led to the arrest of a Tiffin man on numerous charges.

According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was dispatched to a single vehicle accident on State Highway 67 near Township Highway 37 where a truck ended up off the road and travelled into a field and then caught on fire.

The Upper Sandusky Fire Department was dispatched to the scene.

The driver of the pickup, identified as Ronald L. Myers, was said to be highly intoxicated and was verbally abusive.

He is said to have made numerous threats, made inappropriate comments and inappropriately touched an EMT who was checking him for injuries.

He was eventually handcuffed and transported to a holding cell at the Upper Sandusky Police Department.

He will be charged with persistent disorderly conduct, misconduct at an emergency scene, resisting arrest, sexual imposition and criminal mischief.

He was also cited for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, driving in marked lanes and failure to control.
