Traffic Detours Set for Detroit Street as Downtown Kenton Project Moves Forward on January 29

The next phase of the downtown Kenton project is tentatively scheduled to start on Wednesday, January 29.

The Detroit Street project will stretch from Ohio to Carrol Street.

Truck traffic is being detoured outside of town, but there will still be local deliveries being made.

Residents are encouraged to utilize Main Street and any known shortcuts.

TRUCK DETOUR INFO:

-U.S. 68 detour: SR 701 to SR 235 to SR 117 to U.S. 33, back to U.S. 68

-SR 67 detour: SR 235 to SR 701 to U.S. 68 to SR 81 to SR 53 to SR 37, back to SR 67

– SR 309 detour: SR 37 to SR 53 to SR 81 to U.S. 68 to SR 701, back to SR 309

This phase will emphasize infrastructure updates, including the installation of new water lines and storm drainage systems.

The anticipated completion is 180 days.
