Turnout in Hardin County for the General Election yesterday was 28%.
Board of Elections Director Becky Stevenson said that is a better than average turnout for non-presidential year elections.
She also said the new voting machines worked well, and there were no glitches to speak of during the election.
The results on Tuesday were unofficial.
Stevenson said they will now count the provisional votes, which could make a difference in some close races.
The tentative date to certify the election has been set for November 18.
