Two Announce Filings Ahead of Deadline on February 2

The filing deadline for partisan candidates and local questions and issues for the 2022 Primary Election tomorrow, Wednesday February 2. 

Ahead of the deadline, Jon Cross officially filed paperwork to run for re-election for State Representative of the 83rd Ohio House district.

Cross stated, “No one will work harder to champion NW Ohio. Accessible to my constituents, and Accountable in delivering results, be it funding, legislation or helping a fellow Ohioan in need. I’ll keep fighting for our rights and freedoms to keep Ohio safer, stronger and open for business!”

Also ahead of the deadline, Marion Mayor Scott Schertzer released a statement today announcing his intention to file petitions to run for the office of Ohio Treasurer of State. 

Schertzer said, “This week, I plan to file petitions to run for the office of Ohio Treasurer of State. I look forward to making a formal announcement soon and talking with voters all across Ohio about how we can create jobs, balance budgets and bring small town values to Columbus.”
