Two Crashes Reported to HCSO Wednesday Morning

Information on two crashes that occurred this past Wednesday has been released by the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office.

The first was reported at just before 7:30 Wednesday morning on County Road 75 near Township Road 120 in McDonald Township.

A northbound vehicle ended up off the left side of the road where it struck a guardrail, rolled over and came to rest on its side.

The vehicle was unoccupied and no one was in the area when deputies arrived.

Then around two hours later, emergency crews were dispatched to the 10,000 block of County Road 145 in Pleasant Township.

A northbound vehicle crossed the centerline and travelled off the road where it struck a tree.

A bystander and the first deputy on scene were able to free the juvenile driver, who was then transported to a Lima Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver’s name was not released.

Both crashes remain under investigation.
