Two Non-Injury Crashes Occur Within 15 Minutes of Each Other Thursday in Kenton

A Kenton woman escaped injury in a crash that occurred at around 4:50 Thursday afternoon in the 600 block of North Detroit Street.

According to the Kenton Police Department report, a vehicle being driven south on Detroit by 28 year old Savannah Higginbotham drifted to the right side of the road and struck a parked car.

Disabling damage occurred to both vehicles.

Higginbotham was cited for a reasonable control violation.

No injuries were reported in a crash that occurred at just after five Thursday afternoon at the intersection of South Main and West Walnut Streets.

According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, 39 year old Nathaniel Wnek, of Chicago, Illinois, attempted to pass a vehicle on the right side while traveling south on Main.

His car was struck by a vehicle being operated by 40 year old Mitchell Ward, of Dola, who was in the process of turning westbound onto Walnut Street.

Disabling damage occurred to Wnek’s car.

He was cited for passing on the right side.
