Three juveniles have been apprehended following two separate pursuits that started around midnight last night.
According to information from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, a car was reported as stolen out of Logan County and a pursuit of the vehicle was initiated in Allen County. The chase went into Dunkirk and Forest, and the vehicle was stopped in the area of Grant. One of three juveniles was apprehended and two escaped.
Then, according to information from the Kenton Police Department, at just after 6 this morning, another vehicle stolen from a Hardin County resident, was spotted in Kenton.
Officers attempted to stop the car, but a chase ensued. The pursuit went into Union, Logan, Auglaize and Allen Counties.
Spike strips were then utilized which disabled the vehicle.
The suspects ditched the vehicle in the Lost Creek residential area and fled on foot.
The two were taken into custody following a short foot pursuit.
Kenton Police were assisted by deputies from Allen and Logan Counties, officers from the Lima Police Department and troopers from the Ohio State Patrol.
No officers were injured in the pursuit.
Charges are pending against the three juveniles, who are from Logan and Allen Counties.
The incidents remain under investigation.
