Two people were seriously injured in a crash involving a car and a semi on US 68 at Township Road 110 just north of Kenton this (Friday) morning.
According to a release from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, Kailr Manns, of Kenton, drove onto 68 from a stop sign on 110, and his car was struck by a southbound semi being operated by Robert Shenkel, of Wayne, Michigan.
Manns was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car.
He was flown to Ohio State University Hospital with serious injuries.
A passenger in the car was transported to St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima with potentially serious injuries.
Shenkel was checked by EMS and released at the scene.
Assisting the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office at the scene were Kenton Fire Department, BKP Ambulance District, Route 31 Towing and Minich’s Towing.
The investigation continues, and citations are pending.
