Deputies from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office conducted an undercover operation to monitor compliance with liquor sales laws among area businesses on Friday May 10.

According to a release, a total of 12 businesses throughout the county were monitored; they were located in Dunkirk, Forest, Ridgeway, Mt. Victory, McGuffey, Alger and Kenton.

As a result, 2 summons for selling alcohol to an underage person were issued to employees of 2 different businesses.

In addition to the individual charges, the cases will be forwarded to the Ohio Department of Public Safety Investigative Division for possible sanctions against the liquor permit holders.
