University of Findlay invites the community to its campus Arbor Day celebration on Tuesday, April 16 at 4:30 p.m. on Cory Street Mall near the gazebo.
This event will feature a Hackberry tree planting. Three other tree saplings, including a tulip poplar, redbud, and sugar maple, will also be planted elsewhere on campus at a later date.
University President Katherine Fell, Ph.D., and Findlay Mayor Christina Muryn plan to attend.
Co-sponsored by UF’s Tree Advisory Board and Student Government Association, the celebration will include free T-shirts and food.
Prior to the event, Findlay Green Campus Initiative will host an Instagram contest until April 14. For details, go to @UFGreenCampus.
