UF’s Spring Horse Sale to be Held on April 30th

The University of Findlay will present the 17th annual Spring Horse Sale on Saturday, April 30, at the Western Farm’s Dale Wilkinson Arena, 14700 Ohio 68, south of Findlay.

The sale will be held in person, with no COVID-19 restrictions, as well as virtually. UF will not be taking phone bids, however, online/virtual bids will be accepted.
Demonstrations are set to begin at 10 a.m. and the sale will start at noon.

This annual horse sale is arranged by Findlay’s equine marketing class and features approximately 40 horses.

Disciplines of the sale horses include, but are not limited to: western pleasure, all-around, reining, hunter under saddle, western riding, trail, ranch riding, and quiet lesson or 4-H horses.

Some of the horses that will be offered in the 17th annual sale are sired by distinguished horses such as One Hot Krymsun, Kissin the Girls, RL Best of Sudden, Gunners Special Nite, A Dream Remembered, and Hot Ones Only.

Throughout the fall and spring semesters, Findlay equestrian students spend numerous hours caring for and training all of the horses included in the sale.

Proceeds from the sale are put toward scholarships and the purchase of new horses for students to work with the following academic year.
