University of Findlay Names Kimberly Williams New VP of Business Affairs

The University of Findlay is pleased to announce that Kimberly Williams, MBA, JD, will serve as the next Vice President of Business Affairs, Treasurer, beginning May 1, 2022, following the retirement of Tom Lause.

Williams currently serves as the Assistant Vice President for Administrative and Business Services at Middle Tennessee State University. During her tenure in this role, she oversaw a number of departments and established a record of effective, collaborative leadership throughout. As a proven leader, Williams has administrative and managerial experience across a broad range of functions including finance, procurement, contracts, technology, and operations.

Prior to her role at Middle Tennessee State University, Williams served as the Business Manager and Director of Business Services at the University of Arkansas as well as the Business Manager at the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain, formerly Rich Mountain Community College. Williams has also practiced law for over five years as a Civil Litigation Attorney in Arkansas, Tennessee, and Missouri.

“I am happy to welcome Kimberly to the University of Findlay as the new Vice President of Business Affairs and Treasurer,” said Katherine Fell, Ph.D., president of the University of Findlay. “Her successful professional experience as an attorney, a corporate CFO for CD Holdings, and a senior administrator of business and finance in higher education will serve our institution well, and I am excited to see what the future holds for both Kimberly and the University.”

As the Vice President of Business Affairs, Williams will be responsible for the oversight and planning of fiscal strategies including short-term and long-term financial analysis, budget modeling, risk management, and investment management, assuring the continued financial strength of the University.

I look forward to the opportunity to serve and provide strategic support to the University community.”

Williams holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Fayetteville State University, a Master of Business Administration from Western Kentucky University, and a Juris Doctor from University of Arkansas School of Law.
