Unoccupied Car Hit by Train in Findlay

A car versus train accident occurred Sunday night in Findlay.

 

According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, officers were dispatched just before 9:30 Sunday night to the 300 block of Walnut Street where the car became stuck on the tracks.

 

The driver, who was identified as Chastity A. Griffin, exited the car, and it was struck by a northbound train. There were no injuries.

 

Griffin was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

 

The railroad crossings from East Sandusky Street to George Street in Findlay, were blocked for a couple of hours.
