The Hardin County Commissioners received several updates at a recent meeting.

Hardin Hill Administrator Sharon Huston talked about Governor Mike DeWine’s strict layout for nursing facilities moving forward.

DeWine has proposed nursing homes decrease bed size by license, and for every bed subtracted, they would be paid $10,000.

Huston said the push is for home care not skilled nursing.

As more information comes out, Houston stated that she will keep the commissioners posted.

Holli Underwood and Jacqualine Fitzgerald from the Chamber and Business Alliance gave an update on how the grocery store replacement process is going.

Fitzgerald stated that there is still interest, but she did not elaborate.

The City of Kenton lost the Kroger store when they closed at the end of October 2020.

Job and Family Services Director John Folk then requested an Executive Session to deal with employee discipline.
