Upper Scioto Valley’s Power of the Pen Team Places 4th at Districts, Malee Brown Advances to Regionals
The Upper Scioto Valley School‘s 8th grade Power of the Pen ten recently competed in the Districts at Coldwater Middle School.
Power of the Pen empowers young people to find and develop their own unique creative voice through participating in district, regional, and state writing tournaments.
Around 300 schools across Ohio currently compete in Power of the Pen.
USV student Malee Brown placed in the top 10 writers for all 8th grade students at the competition.
She will be competing at Regionals on Saturday March 8th.
The school is awaiting final results to see if any other team members will be join her at the Regionals.
The USV 8th grade team placed 4th overall.
