USV Student Accepted at Western Welding Academy
Upper Scioto Valley student Jason Helton Jr. will be attending Western Welding Academy in Gillette Wyoming beginning in August of 2023.
He was accepted into their program.
From May 6-10, he went to Wyoming to compete in a weld competition and was awarded $1,000 in a scholarship.
Helton will compete again next year in the same competition in hopes to obtain a full ride scholarship for his upcoming schooling.
