The village maintenance staff in Forest was busy this past Tuesday.
The crew spent most of the day fixing the vacuum system that controls the village sewer system.
The system, which is closely monitored by maintenance personnel, began to fail early Tuesday morning.
The entire crew began working on the problem immediately and had it running again by 4 Tuesday afternoon.
It was the third time the system has failed during the month of February.
The village is attempting to seek grant funding to update the system.
