Virginia Man Facing Several Traffic Offenses in Wyandot County

A man from Virginia is facing several charges following a traffic stop in Wyandot County recently.


According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy stopped a car that was travelling 80 miles an hour on US 23, where the speed limit is 65 miles an hour.


The driver, identified as James D. Mims Jr. did not have a driver’s license, and the plates on his car were registered to another vehicle.


Sims was cited for no operator’s license, speeding, no seat belt and fictitious registration.


He was taken to the Wyandot County Jail where he posted a cash bond and was released.


His car was towed from the scene.
