The Wapakoneta Police Department worked with businesses in that city this week on ways to keep customers and employees safe in the event of an active shooter.
Even though the subject can be uncomfortable, the police department stated the businesses were eager to train and learn safety tips that could help save lives.
The participants left with more knowledge on how to help protect themselves and others from a dangerous situation.
The department also stressed that they are there to help, and when you see something suspicious, call them for assistance.
