We are off to a cold start to this work week.

The low last night was single digits, and more of the same can be expected at least through the upcoming weekend.

Everyone should take necessary steps to be prepared with ample supplies and warm shelter.

Persons who may lose power and/or heat and are in need of warmth, should contact The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center at 419-673-1268 extension 0 and report their needs.

The information, to include COVID screening, will be obtained in order to pair persons in need with local warming centers.

Persons going to a warming center should take snacks, beverages and all necessary prescription medications.

They should also wear facial coverings.
