A round of winter weather caused problems on the roads overnight and this morning.
Several inches of snow fell around the region leading to a level one snow emergencies in Hardin, Hancock and Wyandot Counties. Union County went to level 2 emergency early this morning.
The snow forced most area schools to close or delay the start of classes today.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office reported that there have been multiple reports of vehicles sliding off the roads, but no one has been injured in those mishaps.
The snow will begin melting this afternoon as the temperatures climb to the low 40’s.
