A Dunkirk woman was arrested in Kenton on a bench warrant.

According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, officers found 24 year old Kendra Chamberlain walking on Walnut Street near South Detroit Street.

The officer stopped and informed her about the warrant. She allegedly then immediately tried to hand her purse over to her boyfriend.

The purse was searched and is said to have contained a syringe containing a clear liquid.

Chamberlain was arrested, and while at the police department, she told officers that she didn’t know what was in the syringe. She said it could methamphetamine or water.

She was transported to the Multi-County Jail in Marion.

The syringe was sent to BCI for testing.
