A Belle Center Woman was found guilty in an October accident that claimed the life of a Dispatcher.


The driver of the vehicle that claimed the life of Krista McDonald was found guilty in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. McDonald was driving an ambulance for the Southeast Hardin Ambulance District on 292 when the Ambulance was struck by Rachael Willike who ran a stop sign on 273. McDonald and fellow EMT Peggy Eastman were ejected from the Ambulance. McDonald was pronounced dead at the scene while Eastman was flown to OSU Medical Center with life threatening injuries.


Rachel Willeke pleaded no contest in Hardin County Common Pleas Court earlier this month. Acting Judge Richard Reese found Willeke guilty of vehicular manslaughter. Willeke was also sentenced to 180 days in jail, with the sentence suspended. Willeke also received a $225 fine and license suspension for six months retroactive to the date of the crash.
