Wyandot County Corrections Officer Recognized for Saving a Life

A Corrections Officer with the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office was awarded the “Life Saving” award last week.

Jeremy Stewart received the award stemming from an incident that happened on December 24th, 2021. 

Stewart was able to stop an inmate that was in the process of self-inflicting harm. 

Stewart quickly intervened and was responsible for saving the inmate.

Sheriff Todd Frey presented Stewart with a Life Saving Award Certificate and pin.
