3 Kenton Wrestlers Advance to Division III District Tournament

The Kenton High School Wrestling Advanced 3 three wresting into the Division III district wrestling tournament in Troy.

Carter Bays (160) qualified for the 3rd year in a row by fell short of making it to day two dropping both matches in day one. Round one, Cael Bey (Versailles) maj. dec. Carter Bays (Kenton), Jake Kyler (Reading) pin Carter Bays (Kenton) 0:58.

Mason Rhoades (170) lost his 1st round match then rebounding back with a pin fall to advance him to the second day. Round one, Hayden Mattes (Clermont NE) dec. Mason Rhoades (Kenton) 11-9, round two, Mason Rhoades (Kenton) pin Adam Waller (Mechanicsburg) 1:39. Rhoades starts out day two in great fashion with a round 3 win over Isiah Leasure (Triad) by pin fall @ 3:29. Dashing his hopes to qualify for state was Trentin Alexander of Covington pinning Rhoades @ 2:20

Noah Eikenbary claims his 1st district title qualifying him for his second trip to columbus with wins over Noah Eikenbary (Kenton) pin Brady Spears (S. Char. SE) 0:48 , Noah Eikenbary (Kenton) maj. dec. Matt Hamm (Brookville) md10-1, Noah Eikenbary (Kenton) pin Darius Clark (Spencerville) 4:50, Noah Eikenbary (Kenton) pin Caden Coleman (Mechanicsburg) 5:14
