The Kenton Wildcats pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat Defiance 48-39 in Western Buckeye League boys basketball play Friday.
The Wildcats (8-4 overall, 3-0 WBL) led 31-30 after three periods but outscored the Bulldogs 17-9 over the final eight minutes.
Tyrel Goings had 22 points and 13 rebounds for Defiance (5-4, 1-2).
Jacob Eversole finished with 14 points and four rebounds for the Wildcats and was named the Ace Hardware Player of the Game. Jayden Cornell, Bryce Ellis & Reed Cook added eight points each while Trey Jefferies tallied five points and five rebounds and knocked down a key three-pointer down the stretch for Kenton.
