The Kenton Wildcats fell 6-5 to Napoleon on Tuesday despite out-hitting them 10-7. Macee Heckathorn, Brayla Butler, and Brailyn Thacker each collected two hits for Kenton.
A fielder’s choice put Napoleon on the board in the top of the 3rd. They then scored 2 more in the top of the 5th.
The Kenton Wildcats scored in the bottom of the 5th after Emily Pees and Brynn Butler each got a hit and Macee Heckathorn doubled to score the pair. They jumped into the lead in the bottom of the 6th when Emori Criner ripped a doubling scoring 1 run. Emily Pees reached on an error to score Criner for the 2nd run of the inning.
Napoleon took the lead in the top of the 7th 6-4. Heckathorn hit a homer over the left field fence to make the ending score 6-5. Alexis Ratliff also contributed a hit for the Wildcats.
