Bulldogs Outlast Kenton In OT

League-leading Defiance needed overtime to defeat the Kenton Lady Wildcats 56-54 in Western Buckeye League girls basketball action Thursday.

Defiance (7-3 overall, 4-0 WBL) got a game-high 20 points from Carlee Smiddy while Raelle Gonzalez scored 10 points.

Lindsay Smith led Kenton with 16 points. Sidney Plott added 15 points and Kaylin Hildreth scored 10 points for the Lady Wildcats (4-6, 0-4).

Plott and Hildreth were named the Ace Hardware Players of the Game.
