A Wood County school is leaving the Northern Buckeye Conference and joining the Blanchard Valley Conference.
The Board of Education at Elmwood Local Schools voted at its meeting this week to make the move.
The Royals move to the BVC will be effective with the 2023-24 school year if not sooner.
The school announced that the move will allow games against teams of similar size to Elmwood.
The BVC includes Arcadia, Arlington, Cory-Rawson, Leipsic, Liberty-Benton, McComb, North Baltimore, Pandora-Gilboa, Riverdale, Van Buren and Vanlue.
