Heartbeat of Hardin County and Safe Haven of Hardin County are coming together to help youth in grades 7th grade and older, parents, teachers, youth leaders, college students, etc. to learn more about how not to be a victim of sex trafficking. It is happening in Hardin County and we will have a survivor of sex trafficking, from Hardin County, taking at the event. The goal is families learn more and hopefully avoid being groomed and to see warning signs.
“Anyone working with youth is welcome to attend.” said Julie Zaring, Executive Director of Heartbeat, “Deb and I have such a desire to help everyone understand about sex trafficking and sextortion.”
The Priceless Program will be on Tuesday, Aug.10th from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at Heartbeat of Hardin County, 220 E Franklin St., Kenton, Ohio 43326. This event is free.
The event will start with registration from 5:30-6:00 pm. There will be activities during registration time along with appetizers.
During the event everyone will receive valuable information, gifts, and will get to see the movie “Priceless”. The movie is rated PG13. Younger youth are able to attend with an adult, but may want to leave before the movie.
“This program is such a good way for parents or mentors to start the conversation about sex trafficking with their kids.” said Deb Oestreich, Program Coordinator for Save Haven.
Both ladies are also available to come and talk to your group and or present this program to youth groups, parent groups, business, etc.
Registration for the Priceless Program is requested by Aug. 5th by either calling Heartbeat at 419-674-4716, by email at heartbeathc@hotmail.com, or clicking on the registration form on the Heartbeat Facebook page.
