A private family graveside service will be held for Glenn A.Sprang at Wolfcreek Cemetery. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.

He died on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at his residence in rural Dunkirk. He was born on January 1, 1931 in Kenton to the late Irvin Sprang and Naomi (Rapp) Sprang-Smith. He married Norma Horman and they later divorced, he then married Virgina Marsh and she preceded him in death in 2011.

Surviving are a son; Larry (Bonnie) Marsh of Kenton, 5 daughters; Wilma (Fred) Mullins-Doody of Paulding, Donna (Michael) Wells of Dunkirk, Nanette (Eric) Schey of Forest, Patricia Sprang of Chicago, Jayne (Terry) Curtis of Taylorsville, N.C.,13 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 2 daughters; Martha Jean Sprang, Charlene Schick Penix, a brother; Gerald Sprang, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Glenn was a United States Airforce Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

He worked for Durez in Kenton for over 30 years until his retirement. He was a member of the House of Prayer Church in Kenton.

Glenn enjoyed fishing and hunting. Never the type to sit still, he always had to keep his hands busy. He reloaded his own ammo and made his own fishing lures. He also did needle point, photography, and would build model cars and farm equipment. He also enjoyed reading, especially his bible.
