The Lady Wildcats played their 3rd match in 3 days at Van Buren Thursday and battled through 3 sets to defeat the Black Knights. Down 11-12 in the 1st set, Geneva Norris served 7 straight points to give Kenton the lead and Kylee Kavanagh and Taryn Miller finished the set with 6 straight points for the 25-13 win.
Set 2 was back and forth the entire time until VanBuren served the last 2 points for a 23-25 win.
In the deciding set, Kenton jumped out early as Brylee Bostelman served the 1st six points and the Lady Wildcats kept pushing points as they won the 3rd set 25-16.
Brylee Bostelman served 8 points with 3 aces. She also had 8 assists and 8 kills.
Lyla Gammon served 5 points with an ace. She also added 3 kills.
Kaylee Barlow served 2 points with an ace. She had 1 assist and 4 kills.
Lindsey Winings served 6 points with 3 aces. She also added an assist.
Geneva Norris served 15 points with 4 aces. She had 2 kills.
Kylee Kavanagh served 3 points with an ace.
Taryn Miller served 6 points. She added 1 assist, 3 kills, and a block.
Layla Scott added an assist.
Kenton is off until Tuesday when they travel to Elida.
