Kenton Baseball falls to Upper Sandusky 4 – 1 in District Semi-Final

Kenton Wildcats fall to the 6th ranked Upper Sandusky Rams (25-3) on Thursday night at Bluffton University in the District Semi-Final.

The Wildcats jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning, but weren’t able to keep the Rams off the board long when they put up 3 runs in the 2nd inning whiched deemed to be enough.

Kenton only recorded 3 hits on the night with Kyle Thrush going 2-3 and Grady Kleman-Beazley 1-3. Grady Baum had the only RBI for the Wildcats. Starting pitcher for the Wildcats was Jarron Willoby going 6.0 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 K.

Kenton ends the season 11-11-1. The 2023 Wildcats Baseball team also tabbed a 5th place finish in the WBL, the best since 2017, and won the 7th sectional title in school history.
